Getting started

We’re here to make the process simple, supportive, and stress-free. Whether you’re just beginning your journey or looking for additional support, we’ll walk you through every step.

1. Free Consultation

We begin with a complimentary 20–30 minute phone call or virtual meeting to learn more about your child’s needs and your goals. This is a chance for you to ask questions and see if we’re the right fit.

2. Intake & Assessment

If you choose to move forward, we’ll schedule a comprehensive intake session. This may include:

  • Interviews with you and caregivers

  • Direct interaction with your child

  • Standardized assessments (when appropriate)

  • Review of IEPs, prior evaluations, or school records

The goal is to understand your child’s strengths, challenges, and how they learn best.

3. Personalized Treatment Plan

Based on the assessment, we create a customized plan that includes:

  • Clear, measurable goals

  • Recommended number of sessions

  • Tools and strategies tailored to your child

  • Parent involvement and support plan

You’ll always have a voice in shaping your child’s plan.

4. Start Services

We’ll begin sessions at a pace that feels comfortable and realistic for your family—whether that’s once a week or more frequently. Services can take place in-home, in-school, virtually, or in the community depending on your location and your child’s needs.

5. Ongoing Support & Progress Tracking

You’ll receive regular updates, progress summaries, and ongoing coaching. We adjust goals and strategies as your child grows so they continue making meaningful progress.

Typically, they’re at least 50-90 minutes long. However, it depends on your child and how long they are able to engage and participate in sessions. Parent Coaching sessions last between 30 minutes to 55 minutes.

We believe children learn best when they feel safe and are enjoying themselves. We use evidence-based practices in a playful, engaging way that honors each child’s unique preferences and strengths.
